Disappointed

Well, our bid to pave the dirt roads around our development failed. It looks like every eligible voter (264 houses worth of people) in our development (actually there are 4 or 5 of them off of the same main road) voted.

The final results were:
Yes: 161 (34.8%)
No: 302 (65.2%)

There were some things that I didn't agree with about the roads (4" road surface instead of 6" for one) but I figured paved would be better than not-paved.
