Best new author discovered this year: Gregory Maguire

Best movie (seen in the theaters): Spider-Man

Best movie (seen at home): Billy Elliott
Runners up: Shrek, I am Sam, Minority Report

Best music
Music is harder for me to pick since I don't have a record of what I bought (or what Brad bought) this year. I really liked the new No Doubt CD (Rock Steady). I also enjoyed finding Norah Jones and Come Away with Me. Tori Amos released Scarlet's Walk this year (fun concert). Brad found Jimmy Eat World and got the CD for me.

An odd find for me: Eminem's Lose Yourself (from the 8 Mile soundtrack). I heard it on the radio before Brad told me that he'd gotten the soundtrack.

It's really hard to pick my favorite blog reads. Especially since in the beginning they were just people I read and now I feel like they're my friends.

Awww, as best movie you left out The Two Towers! Spiderman was great and stuff, but in terms of sheer story-line, set design, and more importantly Unix use, TTT was a magnitude about everything else! Booo!
