Trading Spaces

| daily misc | | Comments (7)

I just got caught up on Trading Spaces today (while I was making beef stew and some bread). I have to say that I wasn't really wowed by any of the final results. I liked some of the rooms, but out of the 6 completed rooms I saw, I only really liked 3.

Indianapolis: Halleck Way
Missouri: Sunburst Drive
Scott Air Force Base: Ash Creek

Kia has some interesting ideas, but overall, I'm not thrilled with her designs. I like Edward's work.

I did see the Indianapolis and Scott Air Force base ones before, but I wasn't very impressed -- I feel the same way about Kia, did you see the episode that she made the guest bedroom look like a grave yard?
The Missouri one was on the other day in the afternoon, but I don't think I watched all of it. Hopefully it'll be on again on reruns soon smile

The Missouri one had the rooms I liked. smile I've taped these episodes for PromoGuy and when he sends the tape back, I can send it to you if you still haven't seen it.

That graveyard room was hideous! Makes you wonder what she was thinking.

I keep hearing about this show, I'll have to see if I can catch it some time. Those were definitely interesting changes. I think the kids room was the cutest. The one with the car bed. (I always wanted one of those, ever since I saw Ricky in Silver Spoons had one.) smile

Definitely agree re: Kia & Edward. Edward isn't quite up there with Vern in my favorite designers list, but he's definitely better than most already. smile

Vern is definitely my favorite too. The car bed thing was interesting but once Doug was done, there wasn't room for, well, almost anything else in the room. The concept was fun though.

Lisa - since I'm at home every day now, the reruns are on every afternoon, and I'm sure it'll be on again not too long from now smile Thanks though!
Vern is by far my favorite. All those clean lines and wonderful colors... ahhhh...
GeekGrrl, you totally need to see if you can get that show where you are smile Its great fun! And thanks for the reminder about Ricky's car bed - I knew that there was someone who I loved as a kid who had one, and I'm certain now that it was him!!! smile
