Eye doctor visit
Update: My eyes are ok. This is how they've always been. I never had eye surgery as a kid. There really isn't anything to fix (except maybe get Lasik/etc done on my good eye). Otherwise, my eyes are healthy as ever.
I really like my new eye doctor. (Thanks for the referral, Clara!)
It turns out that this is what's going on with my right eye: Amblyopia secondary to Anisometropia.
Basically it means that I have a lazy eye that also has a severe astigmatism. I knew about the lazy eye part but the severe astigmatism was new to me. But since my brain doesn't get (accept more likely) images from that eye, nothing's changed in that regard. It's nice to know exactly what it is though.
We did talk about eye surgery for my "good eye", but I'm still not rushing anything. The problem with my good eye is that it's -11 diopters (contact Rx) and it's getting harder and harder to find contacts that are comfortable and the right strength. As long as I can wear contacts and buy them, I'll stick with them.

Oh! Hope you are okay!! That sounds serious.
I have a lazy eye too... you never notice it unless you see a close-up picture... but I know! I hate it.
Well, my eyes track really well. Most people don't notice it at all. The time it's most noticeable (sp?) is when I go outside in the sun without my sunglasses. Then my right eye squints shut. But I've had glasses since I was 4, so it's nothing new. Just a title for the problem.
Thanks for the thoughts!
Ack! That stinks. I hope you get your eye sight back to normal soon!
Just to clarify: My eyes aren't broken. Ok, they are but they've been like this since it was first noticed at age 4. There's not really anything to fix. This is normal for me.
