Nell Carter

I was sad to hear that Nell Carter died and she was only 54. I never saw "Gimme a Break!" but I've listened to the music from "Ain't Misbehavin'!" for years. One of my mom's neighbors made a cassette tape of it for her. Until I bought the CD for myself, I never realized that he'd left some songs out because the whole thing wouldn't fit on one tape.

To this day, I know most of the words to the songs on the tape and almost none of the words that weren't included.
