The start of something beautiful

| techie stuff | | Comments (8)

Well, it's done. The first part. The whole making a new blog and doing it with PHP. Tomorrow I'll work on the color things I wanted to fix up and try to figure out how to make the search box search both blogs. And finally upload some new pictures. Oh, and check the 2002 site for broken links.

But first there were a bunch of people who helped make this happen:

Kristine peeked at my spiffy new include files and told me what I was doing wrong. Statia let me help her with her blog and I looked at how she'd put her blog pieces all together. Plus she gabbed with me on IM while we worked on bloggy stuff. Erika replied to my "call for help" email and had a great tutorial up on her site. Robyn made the banner which finally was the motivation I needed to do a facelift on my blog. Brad 'cause he listened to me mumble to myself and didn't get upset.

If I missed anyone, I'm blaming it on the cold medicine.

working on blog stuff (albeit very nervewracking at times...) can be fun. i like talking to other people about site stuff, and i saw statia's new stuff, too! it's cool the way people are all into redoing their sites lately, and i really am digging your new graphics, too!

the best part is, all the people you talk to, are just "good folk" - that's what they say down in texas, anyways.

hope you feel better, and SOON.

Ooh! I love the new look. I'm going through the same thing getting my old domain back up and going. I hate designing and implementing my blog. Yours is looking really good though!

Yay! I'm glad I could help, and I'm excited for you to be getting into PHP so I can share my codey secrets with you :giggle:

Yay! You fixed the search box! w00t!

Kristine, you have "codey secrets"?! I have PHP!!

Alright... NOW I'm off to bed. Serious. I'm totally goin' to bed. Right now. Right this minute... Yeah, quit reading... I'm not going to write anymore... Just stop it! I'm going to bed! I can't understand why you keep reading when I'm going to bed...

You get to bed, missy!

Well, you bought dinner last night, so all mumbling is forgiven. :-p

(The truth is that I talk to myself a lot when coding, so I'm not sure I ever notice anybody mumbling to themselves unless it's loud enough to sound like it's mean for me. And getting angry about it? Ha, never happen! Otherwise, I'd be toast, too.)
