I'm having a great time making skins. I have s'more ideas but I have to find someone to make pretty pictures (or find pretty pictures somewhere).

Here's the latest:

Valentine Pin up #2

As you can see, I managed to figure out the 3 column thing. Yay me! (It was really silly what I had wrong and just couldn't see, but that happens.)

Thanks go again to Robyn and Zalary!

I'm going to go back into the first pin up and work on the columns but not tonight. I also have to tweak the Books & Movies page because it has its own navigation.

Ohhh, I like this one a WHOLE lot. When I saw that pic at Robyn's place, I loved it -- she's got a big heart behind her! And I love that I can see more of your sidebar! You picked some great colors to go with it all.

If you need anybody to help make you pictures, or edit pictures for you to fit or whatever, just say the word smile

Where did you learn to do the skins? I've seen some basic tutorials and I'm still lost as ever!

Susan: Statia wanted her blog skinned so the two of us spent a bunch of hours online together figuring it out.

Think of your front page as a sandwich:
layer 1 (bread): all the stuff at the top of the file down to [MTEntries] tag.
layer 2 (the "meat"): all the stuff between the [MTEntries] and [/MTEntries] tags (and the tags themselves)
layer 3 (bread): all the stuff after the [/MTEntries] tag to the end of the file.

Layers 1 & 3 are what gets skinned. Layer 2 never changes.

That's the basic idea. smile

New skin looks great! I liked the default Marilyn, but the pinups give the sit a great retro look. Keep it up!
