Odds and ends, part 2

Since I added the collapsible/expanding entries code yesterday, that means more content to load up when people come to my site, so I cut down the number of entries I show on the front page. Because of that, I used the code snipped Robyn discovered at The Girlie Matters to list the 10 entries that recently rolled off the page.

The ever lovely Kristine stopped by and pointed out that I could use MTResolveURLs (by Alexei Kosut) to cope with broken URLs in my RSS feed. So that's been added too.

Because I've noticed (yeah, I'm a little slow) that I've got a few blogs on my list that haven't been updated for a while but I still would like to know when those people blog again, I've added a "Not currently blogging" category on my blogrolling page.

I installed MTMacro (by Brad Choate), but didn't set it up (for smilies) because we have this ($#*#!$ FTP problem with our ISP and it's a pain in the butt to upload stuff. I'll see if Brad can't upload the zip file for me tomorrow when he goes to work. When I get that working, I'll link to the other URLs I'm using to get this set up.

I added live comment preview while I was in playing. Info found at ScriptyGoddess. Geez, I should send money to these lovely people but how do you pick who to send it to (I'm pretty sure I've used scripts, etc from more than one person)!

I've also started collecting RSS feeds for the people in my "New people" category. Except, well, I didn't do it in an organized fashion so now I have to go through the list again. I also removed a few blogs that I hadn't read in a while, so if I removed your link, it's only because there is so much to read and there is just no way I can read it all. But if you stop by here once in a while and leave a comment, I'll be sure to visit your site from time to time and that'll probably get you added back to the list.
