Great TV shows
There are some great TV shows around. Too bad most of them have been cancelled or will probably be. I haven't seen a new episode of Monk in ages (I know that Brad would mention it if one popped up on TiVo).
Melissa likes this show too. I bet she's missing it!
There are more shows to this list, but I should really get back to editing those 300+ HTML pages. Zzzz! ![]()
Update: More favs: Gilmore Girls, Buffy, SportsNight, My So-Called Life, That '80s Show, Firefly, The Pretender.
And yes, I survived editing all of those pages. I think I even got through everything I needed to tweak. ![]()

I dip my hat in reverance for anyone capable of editing anything over two html pages per year. I think they (meaning me) call what you are doing quite "unreal".
I for one, am missing Firefly which was on Fox. YAJWS (Yet Another Joss Whedon Show), it was stuck on Friday nights and not really given a chance to grow the requisite following neceesary for its survival. Fox still has 3 episodes they paid for and produced and haven't shown. How lame.
Firefly is definitely on my list of "bring it back, dammit!".
I have to admit that I probably killed Firefly. If I start enjoying a show, it dies. It's just the way of the world.
I know not many others did, but I also liked "That 80's Show". Perhaps because there was no redeeming "Love vibe" in the 80's like there is for the 70's (which is why "That 70's Show" rolls on).
I'm consoling myself on the Firefly thing by watching all of the episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel in order to limit the amount of crying I do. Damn you Brandy! Why did you have to kill it! (j/k)
Yep, we like That '80s Show, too, but we could tell it was headed for cancellation.
We have the first 2 seasons of Buffy on DVD, and no Angel yet. Soon, Rabbit.
We also SportsNight & My So-Called Life. I managed to completely miss MSCL the first time around but Brad didn't and got the DVDs.
I'm also to blame for MSCL going away and can probably be fingered for the last season of Buffy as well. I resisted the Buffy craze for a long time and about a year after I got into it, the rumors started about it ending.
Brandy: I'll be sure to let you know what shows I don't like and see if you won't watch them for a little bit.
Few shows have I watched more devoutly than Pretender. SportsNight was damned clever and operated on some neat parallel levels. Monk was quirky and entertaining when I was able to catch it.
Nowadays, though, the TV's just not on as much. We dialed down cable at the beginning of December to save money, and now we've learned to live without most shows. Does that make us weird? ("No, Karel, plenty of other things make you weird." "Oh, okay, thanks.")
Pretender. God, I loved that show.
And Wiseguy, remember that? Damn good TV
From a big Superman fan, Smallville is one of my current favorites. It's actually the only show that I currently have time for!
I, on the other hand, am not really a huge Superman fan. I did like the first Reeve movie (which I bought on DVD), but that's about it. I religiously watch Smallville. I think it's because the interesting parts are more centered around the human interactions, and Clark learning to deal with some of his powers. He hasn't yet become the "authority facist" that turned me off of Superman.
