Hi, my name is Lisa...

and I'm a card-aholic. You see... I've always had this compulsion to buy cards when I go through a Hallmark store or the grocery store or anywhere that sells cards. And then I worked at a Hallmark store for about 6 years and my addiction got worse. By the time I changed jobs, I had a plastic crate filled with stationery that was being discontinued (and I got at a good discount), old Shoebox cards that the designs changed, tons of Christmas and holiday cards, and on and on.

Recently, I've been good about not going card-crazy when I'm out, but I had 10 minutes to wander around the grocery store while waiting for prescriptions to be filled and well... I fell off the wagon. I have this lovely stack of cards just ready to be selected to go to the perfect people! grin

I still have a hard time not straightening the card racks and I've been out of the business since '94. At least I don't try to restock the shelves for them. wink

[Note: this is not making light of addictions.]

I share your affliction, but it's genetic in my case. My mom is a card diva.

I'm a cardaholic too. I fed my addiction while I worked at a stationery store that carried Hallmark. I still feel the compulsion to straighten cards when they're messy.

I have several from you sitting on my desk to remind me I am loved

And I go to the store and buy cards with people in mind, but have a hard time actually putting them in the mail! I don't know what my problem is (well, the mailbox slot is little and tiny so normal cards would actually have to be taken to a mailbox), but I have some postage on my way to my house, so maybe that will help! Tee hee, you and my other friends will just have to know that I you!!!!

OMG I share your problem! I finally last year bought a filing card holder. Now their all organized by holiday/birthday whatever. It's very sad. I am not allowed in a hallmark or to open a currents catalog. I don't even send out letters anymore but I can't stop buying them just in case.
