i really need to figure this whole newzcrawler/rss thing out....you guys are talking in a different language than me lately!
It's pretty cool Jen.
MT's got the ability to output your blog entries into an xml feed (you'll see index.xml and .rdf files on your server where your blog is). Now, because of this, you can use an rss aggregator to "pull" in this information and view at your leisure.
So instead of going from page to page to see what's new with all of blog land's lives, you simply input their xml feeds into your program and it shows it all to you in one place.
You can also pull in feeds from like CNN or Reuters to also get the most recent news too!
When I get into work in the morning, on top of checking my e-mail, I also pull up my aggregator (I use NewsDesk, though NewsCrawler has better abilities, but ya gotta pay for it) and view the day's blog occurences as well as get the most recent news and weather and anything else I can find with an rss feed.
downloaded and installed!
I think the Mozilla internal browser this will stop the evil popups I get on some news feeds (like Entertainment Weekly who has evil ads) And that makes me happy!!
And plus, this is supposed to fix several of the issues with blogging from inside the program, so that's gonna be nice
tee hee, we are geeky girls!
Brad already installed it! I'd better get a move on.
OH! Does that mean you get to add categories now to your MT posts? I'm going to have to upgrade tonight!
