In Clara's own words (she asked if I wanted to use the image for anti-war purposes):
"Because I have a very deep belief in the merits of service to ones country and I'm a patriot who waves the flag on July 4th and cries during the national anthem and because I get tired of people assuming things just because I believe America is a fundimentally good place."

She has a blog, but she doesn't blog often. She also has a gallery of her images.
