This just in!

We picked up the dishes! Instead of gold, they had blue. We got the cool patterned dishes, green and purple. They're ready to be washed and put on the shelves.

That was our reward for getting dug out finally.

And we had dinner at Mimi's Cafe.

Yay for being free of the oppressive snow. wink And one last thing. The snow due in late next week looks like it won't be as bad as this storm. Whew.

I'm so glad you made it out and about! And hooray for getting those dishes, and for eating dinner that no one had to cook.

Woo! I'm glad you finally got to get them, and blue sounds like it would compliment it well, just as nice as the gold! smile

We went to a Mimi's Cafe down in CA, I wonder if its the same chain? E had these GIANT pumpkin pancakes around thanksgiving time. They were yummy

Kristine - it's sort of a New Orleans type place. They have the best gumbo I've had in a long time. Their breads are fabulous. etc etc etc. We even brought home some yummy muffins.

The getting out was wonderful. It was nice to see the mountains and the sky and the sunset and other people (not that I don't like Brad or anything, but I'm used to interacting with more people than just hime). And eating something that someone else prepared... extra yummy!

I've driven by Mimi's a few times and wondered what's inside. Thanks for posting.
