My cube-mate's brother (Joe) is in the Special Forces and is overseas. One of their other brothers (Dave) made this image (of their brother Joe) and I just had to share it.

From Chuck:
"Please say a prayer for Joe
Defender and lover of freedom... my brother"

Update: I'll pass on all comments to Chuck so he can tell his brother.

Update 2: Due to the recent trolls, I'm turning off comments on this post. Please feel free to send me supportive email to forward to Chuck and Joe. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't bother sending it. I won't read it anyway.

What a great picture. It gets to you, right in the . You tell Dave that we'll pray him up good, and hope he comes home soon.

Crystal said:

Wow, that certainly gets to you, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing and let them know that their brother is in our prayers!

Melissa said:

"Thank you" just doesn't seem to be enough. But I'm saying it anyway.

Thanks Joe and every other uniform wearing American with you! Thank you for making it so I feel safe when I go to bed at night. I say a prayer for our troops every day!

Betty said:

I have asked many people "What do we do to support our troops from here?" I fly my flag and pray and now I have the opportunity to say thank you to someone.
Thank You Joe, God Speed.

leigh said:

I add my "thanks" to the list, and also my admiration, deepest gratitude and awe of his, and all the troops', bravery!

You will all be in my prayers!

It takes true courage to stand up for what is right. Freedom has no price, and every life is worth fighting for. Thanks for not only protecting us, but the poor people of Iraq too. We're praying for your safety and victory.

Lance said:

That's my dad I dont worry about him much though. He knows what he's doing and God watches over him.

I am grateful for the decent people of America who still support our troops. I know that it does help relieve some of the stress put on the families of the deployed. Thanks to all of our beloved troops for defending our freedom. Thanks Dad.

Thank you. God bless you.

I have been watching the comments for Joe, and I am really touched. I will pass all of your comments on to Joe when he is able to see them. He will really be moved by all your words of support. He is very brave and dedicated. I thank you all for your prayers, not only for his life, but the lives of all our troops, as well as the people of Iraq.

Please tell Joe to tell everyone that, despite what the news would have you believe, MOST Americans have much love and respect for our troops. Tell them they are heroes to all of us, in wartime and in peacetime, and to ignore any splinter group of nut-jobs who assemble in city streets and say differently. Much love to everyone in uniform!

Buzz said:

What a great picture. It is now my current desktop. Tell Joe - Thanks! We are so grateful for all of them over there. Come home safe and soon.

David: Grow up. Shut up. And get lost.

Paul: I'm not so sure about that. I might possibly agree if you could put together an entire sentence made up of something other than four letter words, but I'm willing to bet that's a bit out of your realm.

How can you talk of freedom & then censor me?

Paul,

What makes you think your freedom trumps someone else's?

On public property, and on your own private property, you have the right to speak. Here, you are speaking here by using someone's private property.

We pay for this web site, not you, so we say what is and is not acceptable behavior, just like we do in our home. You have no right to speak here, just a priviledge that is governed by our rules and revoked at our discretion. You are a guest here.

If you disagree with this philosophy, then set up your own website and say whatever you wish. Take your inane and infantile bullshit elsewhere.

Melissa said:

First of all, Paul or David or whatever your name is, I don't own this site. I didn't delete your comment. I called you a moron. Lisa deleted your comment.

(It's Lisa's blog and her right to do with as she pleases. The internet is not a democracy. Read up on it sometime.)

Secondly, you showed your stupidity yesterday with your incoherent idiotic entries. They made no sense, acted as flame bait, and served no purpose.

For someone so "intelligent", you sure do like to act like an idiot.

Now run along and play your games elsewhere.

Melissa said:

Someday I want to be just like David... er... Paul... I just have to figure out how to shove my head that far up my arse. Maybe it's helpful to have a peabrain, thus reducing the size. Does lube help Paul?

This is my last comment on this matter. You are a moron. Seek life elsewhere.

statia said:

Listen spazoid, don't you have anything else to do with your pathetically anal little life than to be a stupid ass comment troll? The point of this post wasn't to show everyone how much of a poster child you are for condoms. You're ruining a perfectly good post. Lisa's intentions were to forward words of encouragement to Joe without the tainted annoying dribble that's coming out of your brain. Everyone here is trying to send you a message. In case you can't hear it, let me spell it for you loud and clear. GO THE HELL AWAY, YOU'RE NOT WELCOME HERE. Go pay for your own space.

Paul,

Post all you want. Find all the IP addresses you can find. We'll nuke them all. I got nothin' better to do today anyway.
