Heard on the radio on the way home from work:
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are close to signing a deal to star in a remake of Casablanca. My spies told me they are "overjoyed at the prospect of being in Casablanca together and showing the world how much they love each other through their on-screen chemistry."
That would be the worst thing possible to happen to that classic movie. I sure hope this is a nasty rumour.

I just read this on another blog somewhere. They brought up a good point... You don't have to worry. The divorce will make the movie impossible.
(Sure wish I could remember where I read that.)
That can't be as bad as 32 Candles, the proposed sequel to Sixteen Candles.
Ugh... I just have such icky feelings towards her. And I haven't seen Casablanca to be freaked out about this idea, but I'm sure its not a good thing!!

woman! And Humphrey Bogart. It's a great movie. But I'm partial to old movies with beautiful actors. 
I haven't seen it either.
I've just heard about it. I think it has a sad ending and that's why I haven't watched it.

J-Ho needs to find something better to do with her life. Given the skills she has, perhaps Krystal's is hiring?

Ya' know, that's just like J-Lo! She's so filled with conceit she probably things they'll do a better job than Berman and Bogart!! Sometimes I wish I could just slap her and wake her to reality -- she is NOT all that!!!! Remaking that movie would be a crime!!!

I know, I'm shocking with my lack of old-movie watching skills. Rina (blue roses) would tell you the same thing, as she's chastised me many times for not having seen one thing or another!!!

Isn't Lauren Bacall still alive? She could show J-Lo a thing or two about what true chemestry on screen is about.
To be fair, I did like J-Lo in Maid in Manhatten. And she is a solid mid-range actor. She will take the script and act per the script. Not a whole lot of dynamic range there. There would have to be a good deal of studio interest for this type of project and an ambitious studio to boot. I'd expect that we need to see how their next 2 films go before we panic.

I only just heard this rumour, is there not enough crap going on in the world? What is wrong with these people? Both are APPALLING ACTORS (if you can call either an 'actor'), and the original is the best film ever, how can it be bettered? I'm afraid. Please, no-one see this film, and if you get the chance, assassinate J-Lo...
You got to love how Jennifer and Ben look together! I think they make a great couple!
