7 years here
Approximately 7 years ago, I picked up and moved to Colorado. I love it here. If for some reason I move away, I'll come back. (I don't foresee the need to move at any time.)
Now if I could get more of my friends and some of my family to move out here, life would be grand!

this july marks my 7th year in washington, d.c. and i feel the same way that you do - i love it here, and i don't see myself moving away anytime soon (unless its further east, to, say, rehoboth beach, delaware).
and, like you, if i could just get my family to move out here (they're in california), life would be grand (and feel complete somehow). i miss them, but not enough to give up my life here to move back to california
Yeah, I've missed Denver since the day we came back to Omaha, 4 years and 353 days ago :-\ Not that I'm counting.
Not that you're counting at all, Tracy!
If I may so bold, whereabouts in Colorado are you? I need to pick up and move and I know Colorado is beautiful. Hmmmm.
We live south-east of Denver in Elbert County. We almost live in Elizabeth, so we tell (local) people Parker-Elizabeth so they figure it out.
I'll send you more info via email.
Rori: Email to you bounced. Please use the email link in the sidebar and I'll give you more Colorado info!
We moved to Tampa seven years ago this coming January. It's "home" now -- I can't imagine being anywhere else. (Unless we won the lottery...) I love Denver, but it's so dry if you're a Floridian. We were there in '99 and I had a constant nosebleed. Don't think I could take that on a permanent basis.
