- 8th largest state in the union at 104,091 sq miles
- the past has left many attractions in Colorado such as the Anasazi settlements in Mesa Verde and the narrow gauge railroads like the one linking Durango to Silverton

8th largest state? wow, I didn't realize that! The longest state to drive through seems to be Nebraska ;-)
Too many trips between Michigan and Washington and I found that out!
(and yes, I realize my icons don't go with anything I wrote. I just had been wanting to use those. LOL!!!!)
