Yea, and how many businesses actually FOLLOW that model? Almost none...no matter how often it's proved to be true. And do you know who's fault it is? Middle management. You can blame everything on Middle management

That is an awesome quote and because the company I work for does not follow that idea (who does?) I will be leaving the corporate world within a month.

This is a model that should work regardless of what business you're in -
make sure that some group of individuals is tasked with finding ways of putting you out of business
