Housekeeper

| daily misc | | Comments (12)

Our cleaning lady is getting a divorce and a full-time job so she won't be our cleaning lady any more. She has the name of a friend who might be interested (in cleaning and driving way the hell out here), so keep your fingers crossed.

And before you jump on my case about having a cleaning person, it helps provide harmony at home.

Jump on your case??? I'm freakin' jealous!! If we had a cleaning lady, this place might get cleaned more than once a month! (who am I kidding...every 2 months!)

I won't give you any crap about having a cleaning lady. As long as you're providing a fair wage and a decent working environment, you're providing a much needed job to someone. I'm all for that. In Nicaragua, even the poor people have someone to do laundry for them, cook, clean, something like that because it provides a neighbor with some income for them to buy food with. So it's providing someone an income and you domestic tranquility. A good thing all around.

Oh please, I would kill to find someone reliable that does a decent job.

Amen to a cleaning person... I would love to have one! My husband says the "22" year old dishwasher works fine... BAH!

I would never jump on your case about a cleaning lady. That will be the very 1st thing I do when the kid is finally out and gone for good and no college to pay for. I can't wait to have someone else to have to worry about cleaning the bathrooms and the floors! Go Lisa!

Zuly: It's about 2200 sq ft (I only get the main level done) every other week and we live pretty far out of town, so I'm happy to pay extra for someone who will drive all the way out here and clean. smile

Having a maid is AWESOME!!! When I finally got Sam to agree to have one, oh, I was so happy. I love coming home after she's been here - everything is all sparkly and new again. grin (And then Rachel throws her toys every which way - so it's a fleeting moment - but a glorious one none the less) LOL!

sigh- hush! i wouldn't get on your case, but i WILL be envious- we've given ours up in the last month to save for our new house. once we're moved and settled in, i'm calling her back immediately- we miss her very much!!

Anyone who "jumps on you" is just jealous. wink

In which case... I suppose I should be jumping on you about it now... wink

Maybe if I throw a tantrum A will let us get one too!

Heck yeah. I'm home 24/7 and I constantly dream of the day we can afford someone to help clean around here...
