Skinning

| techie stuff | | Comments (18)

I've started writing up a skinning tutorial. I know I know. Everyone and their brother has done this. But some of them are pretty technical and I'm hoping to make things a little more straightforward for people who want skins but are intimidated by long tutorials.

I'm having some people test drive my tutorial and then I'll post it.

You have made my day, Lisa. I have been planning on skinning for weeks, and I just keep getting derailed... but if you're writing the tutorial, then I'll be super-excited about it and BAM! Be skinned in no time. smile

I started trying to do it following the tutorial Amy did. I got as far as checking to make sure my HTML is valid. Um, no. LOL! So, I think I have a way to go before I'll be ready for skinning. Oh well, I *think* my site's readable?

Tina said:

Ooh! *waits patiently for the tutorial* I just learned how to do image maps and rollovers in Photoshop, so once I learn how to make a site skin, I may have an actual design up on my blog.

Lisa, you rock!

Nancy said:

Oh YAY! Angie and I are in the process of skinning. Everything works but the cookie doesn't get written. Maybe your tutorial will shed some light on that subject
OMG I LOVE the couch!!!

I would be happy to give it a whirl if you still need any volunteers?

Did someone say Skin? Because you know you've got someone who'll test drive that baby Yoda. I'd love to take a look at it whenever you finish! You are so very cool.
