I want to rename my blog. I'm tired of "Unix Gal". Hell, I might even get my own domain, but I really like techieswithcats.com.
Any suggestions?

I've had a hard time coming up with names for my site, but if you think of some ideas and want feedback, I'm glad to help!!
I'm having this dilema too. What do you like? Besides cats.
Are colors ok in a name? How about different words grouped together?
My advice is to find some really obscure word that fits. That's what I did at least.
Latin is always a good choice (that's what Erica did).
Besides cats, I like books, mujsic, movies, programming, learning new things, fun people, laughing, flirting. Colors are cool. Different words grouped together are also cool. "Lis" or "Lisa" are both fine. I even tried "Lisa Karen" but that was taken (not that it's a descriptive name).
I would keep the techieswithcats.com extension, but I would change the UnixGal. How about WinXPChick? ;-)

Any of those sound the least bit appealing? (They're all available, according to GeekTools.) It's always hard to help with something like this, because a domain name seems so personal for some reason.
Let me know if you want me to toss out any other random off-the-wall ideas.

Well, you might know my feelings on this, because I blogged about it recently after doing some site checking for Globe of Blogs. No "musings", "rambles", nothing like that. Been done. Avoid the words "daily" "blog" and "site." Of course it's daily - it's a blog! Whoo, I'm getting revved up all over again.
I used magnetic poetry to come up with Live in the Delirious Cool - I had that phrase in my head long before I had a site. What about something with "out loud" in it? I think "writing out loud" is a great name, but it's taken, unfortunately.
Ooh, I like ubergeekette.com. Still thinking here.

I actually came up with mine by running my name through an anagram generator. So appropriate that I came up with something with 'candy' in the name. Try it with your name, if nothing you may get a good laugh at some of the names. Here is the one I used:
