Oopsies
I nearly hit a deer on the way home from work today. It was only a few car lengths away from me. And it was hot outside today too. Weird to see him out roaming around in the heat of the afternoon.
Happily, I didn't hit him. Nor did Gina hit me (she ended up behind me on the drive home after picking up 2 kegs of beer for a party this weekend).
Hooray for one more day of work this week and for a party to go to on Saturday. I just have to stop by the store and make a side dish before Saturday at 4.

I'm glad you're ok. I knew someone in high school who's father died when he hit a deer... scary stuff.
My dad once hit 5 deer at once with a truck. He was fine (he wears a seat belt -- used to be a cop) but his truck was totalled.
PS -- came from Banagor's, and said to leave you a nice note about your new picture, so : I like the haircut. Hope the party is fun.
That would be Audrey Hepburn in the pic.
Thanks, Carla! It was definitely scary. It's probably the only downside to living out in the middle of nowhere.
Last year, while on our anniversary vacation, Mike almost hit a deer. He was driving, but I saw it before he did, and yelled at him to stop. We came thisclose to hitting it!
The funny thing was...this was on Route One in Wells, Maine! Even though it was after dark when this happened, still, this is a busy area in the summer, and it was a strange place to see a deer!
Ooh, have fun!!!!!! Sounds like a good time!
eric, what about the deer, was the deer okay, i do not care about the truck or your dad, because he was in a truck do you thhink he would have died?i think you should care more about animals ten an automobile!!!!!!
