I just finished watching Roman Holiday. I just adore Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. What a lovely movie. What beautiful clothes.
I managed to close my thumb into the screen door today when coming back in the house with Peri. Ow. It still hurts. I miss my acrylic nails (I soaked them off so I could get a new set and have pretty nails for Gnomedex. My nail appointment is on Thursday and it seems so far away!)
I've made very good progress on my new site. The sidebars still need to be trimmed down. I've gotten rid of my RSS 1.0 feeds, so if you're using them, please let me know. I can create them again for you but not link to them on my site. I've moved the Marilyn skin over to the new site, but I have to remake the header. I picked this one as my starting point because it's a 2 column layout.
I picked up a training collar for Peri. Tomorrow I'm going to watch the video that came with it and start using it with Peri. He really needs some training and he and I both know it. I think this should help with my lack of puppy-skills.
The weather. It's supposed to be in the mid-90s most of the week. Yuck!
I haven't gotten very far with Harry Potter, but I'm enjoying it so far.
This is going to be a very busy week, both at work and personally. I have a lot to do at work to learn a new (to me) software package that I'm going to Chicago to be trained on (July 17 & 18). I'm also on call this week. At home, I've got after work commitments on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Allergy shot on Wednesday (during the day). I'm starting new bottles of serum, so I'll have to start going once a week for 4 shots which sucks because I just don't have that time right now.
Ugh, I'm tired now that I look back over this list. I think I'll take my book and get into bed. Sleep well!

I highly recommend a puppy obedience class, or hiring a trainer. I've been to both, but preferred the trainer coming out. It's a little spendy, in the $250-$300 range, but well worth it. Granted, the dog I had when we had the trainer out was incredibly smart, so that made training her SO much more fun and easy, but the either way is good. The only down-side to the group obedience classes is that the dogs get distracted by other dogs, and don't listen. Your vet should be able to recommend some good places for classes, if you're interested.
Yowzers girl! You sound hella busy!! :-P
I've heard Roman Holiday is a great flick. You'll have to tell me if it ends happily or not, and maybe I'll rent it.

Sorry to hear about your owie. Oddly enough, I had a dream a couple of nights ago about slamming my finger in the door. It makes me cringe to think of it.
Keep those fingers and toes safe from random doors and itty bitty fluffy puppies!
I've always loved Roman Holiday - what a great movie! Hope your thumb is feeling better soon - and good luck with puppy training!
Tracy: That's also on the list, but I thought I should try to get Peri a little under control before we brought him to obedience training.
M: I think you'd be ok with Roman Holiday. If you wanna know how it ends, I can email you.
Yay, my thumb is feeling better.
Thanks for the well-wishes!
eeek! Hope your finger is better!
I've never seen that movie but I need too...
Control...hmmmm...this is a concept I'm not familiar with ;-) With Lexi, you almost have to sit on her to get her to settle down :-) I can't wait to get her into obedience classes - should be fun.
PLUS...with the foster "parenting" I'll be doing, they as us to take the foster dogs to training. Should be fun!
