"Stormy Weather" by Carl Hiaasen
I finished this one the night I got back from Chicago. I nearly finished it on the flight home (after spending 6+ hours in the airport because I tried to catch an earlier flight out), but instead I slept on the plane.
This one was more violent than Hiaasen's other books. It also had a few characters from previous books (which I hadn't run across before with him). As usual, he has very interesting characters who manage to get themselves in unusual predicaments.
This book takes place in Florida (his usual setting) during and immediately following a big hurricane.
Well, to be honest, it's hard to describe the plot, but if you like Hiaasen's books, chances are that you'll like this one too.
