New keyboard and mouse
Even though I'd gotten a new keyboard and mouse (wireless) back in May, I needed to replace it. The left control key kept getting stuck all the time. And the mouse was always telling the PC that the batteries were dying. I replaced batteries at least twice this month.
The new one is by Logitech (Cordless MXTM DuoTM) and damn if they'd don't have an ergonomic one after all. I got a straight keyboard because I didn't know and I didn't feel like going to a zillion stores looking around. It'll take some time to get used to this keyboard but I'll adjust. Plus the mouse has rechargeable batteries (and is the really good one according to Brad).

What a coincicdence. Yesterday got that same thing- but for a computer we have as a home-entertainment server that we wanted to have out in the living room- when on the couch, cordless is the way to go!
I have the MX 700 Cordless Optical Mouse by Logitech and I Love it! I get about two weeks between recharges (I found out because My forgets to put it in the charger at night). I have never had an issue with it, and I love the two little buttons by the scroll wheel.
Thats supposed to me "My wife forgets....."
The new keyboard & mouse are attached to my Shuttle (that little blue tissue box sized case), so no going mobile for me.
I like the mouse a lot so far, but I'm definitely having issues using a "straight" keyboard at the moment.
Ok, I gave in. I ordered the ergonomic version of this keyboard last night. Brad's offered to give him his standalone mouse so I can still use the good mouse and have the right keyboard. By the end of the night last night, my wrists were sore.
At least I found it online for a better price than in the store and could get it shipped out overnight and still have the total be less than what I paid for the combo I bought yesterday (at Best Buy).
So did you have a keyboard with a scrolly wheel on the left hand side before? I love mine, I love being able to scroll with either hand!
Logitechs make me happy!
On tonight's keyboard it's on the left. I'll let you know what the new keyboard is like tomorrow after work!
my hubby got this exact set the other day! he enjoys it so much. the mouse is kinda heavy but i guess it just gets some getting used to.
I like the mouse a lot. Brad loves it because it's high precision which you need when you play games on the PC.
he just got the Star Wars Galaxies game and is using the cordless mouse and keyboard and loves it. plus, it works better with his A/B switch. when he had the regular mouse, he would lose his mouse when switching between pcs.
(there needs to be a mouse smiley!)
hmm, sounds almost like the problem I'm having now. I'm thinking it's just a battery problem. I've got the logitech keyboard/mouse that you show in the picture.
How did you get the smiley's for your comments?
Brad installed the new keyboard (ergonomic) for me yesterday and I'm much happier now. No more wrist pain!
