Odds and ends
Tonight when I took Peri out for his "mommy's home, let's go out and run around the yard!!" walk, there was a male antelope walking down our road. Just wandering down the road at a leisurely pace. I called to Brad and the antelope started trotting off, but Brad got to see him too. Peri, well, he never noticed the antelope.
On Saturday (in the morning), Brad and I drive up to Roosevelt National Forest for our stay in the mountains. We're going to Gold Lake Mountain Resort & Spa. It's about 100 miles from here. I am really looking forward to my massage Saturday afternoon. It's a really pretty time of year to go up to the mountains and it should be a restful trip.
On Sunday, we'll get back here around 2 pm so I can go to CaseyMae's 5th birthday party. (Here's a pic from her birthday party last year.) I got her a cute outfit and some stickers. Her little sister's birthday is soon too, so I got her a cute outfit and a movie.
While I was kid-present-shopping, I picked up a few books for myself. I'm almost done reading book 3 of the Dream Park series and I'm ready for a genre change.

What a glam girl CaseyMae is!
Oooh, if you get over to Borders, they are having a Buy 3, get the 4th Free sale on paperbacks! I started to do it, but I need the "D" book in the Sue Grafton mysteries, so I did not.
I am reading the most awesome book, Deadly Grace, by Taylor Smith. It is a mystery, with a lot of WWII history thrown in. I am 3/4 of the way through, I cannot put it down!
Have fun in the mountains!
probably a good think peri didn't have a face to face with the antelope. it would've freaked him out to no end i would imagine as it outweighs him by a billion pounds.
