I want a new mistress
So apparently I've offended the on call gods because they were restless last night again.
Let's just say I slept from around 11:30 pm until 2 am. And then 3:30 am until 5:15 am (on the couch so I bugged Brad less). And then maybe another 30 minutes. Peri and I went out for a walk around 2:30 because he was so happy that I was awake. Ops paged me at 5:15 am to let me know that the server where our code base lives was back up, but I called and asked for another hour of sleep. Peri let me rest for another 30 minutes after that and then he was ready for breakfast and a walk.

Geez, you can't catch a break this week! How long til you're not on call anymore? *hugs* I hope you get some rest today.
Over three hours sleep?!!? With more than two hours at a stretch?!!? Luxury... luxury.
Of course I'm at least 50% at fault for my current sleeping problems...
Next time you should just call me. I was up all night myself, and we could've made each other giggle with silly conversations. Um, not that I know anything about being silly. Nope, not me.
I'm on call until Monday the 3rd. I'm writing this comment from work. In 45 mins, I'll have been at work for 12 hours. With a 12+ hour day scheduled for tomorrow but I don't have to be back at work until noon tomorrow, so if I don't get decent sleep tonight, I'll go hide in the guest room in the morning.
Annessa: The Ops people were pretty entertained by how sleepy I sounded.

At least there isn't a fire near my house. My manager just flew back into town for our implementation tomorrow to find out that one of the 3 (or 4) fires in CO is about 10 blocks from his house and his subdivision was being evacuated.
So, as a friend would tell me, it could be worse.
I refer to her as a beautiful pain in the ass most of the time. But I'll admit I'd rather be woken up by her than work...
