Firefly

I'd pre-ordered the Firefly episodes from amazon a while ago and it arrived in the mail one day this month. Brad and I watched the 3 episodes we'd missed and both agree that it was a great show. If you have a chance, borrow, buy or rent the DVDs and watch it. It's worth it.

I saw the set the day before I left for Work in Target and if I had had the cash I would have snatched it up! I loved that show and think it was a shame it got cancelled before it even had a chance to get an audience.

My wife, however, saw no redeeming quality in the show! She's not a big Sci-Fi person.. wink

Merry Christmas!

I watched the first episode, but then it was on at the same time as something else, so I didn't watch after that. So I'm looking forward to the DVD, I'll get to watch it all together and I'm fairly certain I'll love it just because I love Joss. smile I love his other shows a whole bunch wink

Doc: I was a little leary of the show when I saw the first episode, but I really liked the characters and the way Joss tells a story so I was won over.

Kristine: It's probably just as well. Now you can watch them in the order they were meant to be watched instead of the order that the TV execs decided to air them.

Til this day, I never understood why that show was taken off the air. I use to love watching it. I may even consider buying the DVD for keepsake. Thanks for the reminder.

BTW, this site is great and your tutorial section is really helpful. Till next time.

is that actually a good series? I think I watched the first episode... when it first came on. I love joss whedon and I thought it would be good, but it seemed so CORNY when I first watched it. maybe I need to give it another try. there really weren't that many episodes, though, were there?

It's a fantastic show, but you need to remember two things: (1) Yes, it's campy at times, but come on... all his shows are campy at times; (2) Joss wanted to do a western, but they said no, so he said "how about a western in space?".

Doc said:

"How bout a Western in Space?" Wasn't that the same idea behind Star Trek, the original campy Sci-Fi Series?

Dan almost got that, but he got the first season of Farscape instead. I've only seen bits and pieces of episodes and we watched the first episode today and I really liked it. I think he wants Firefly next.
