Egregious paging

I've been on call (for work) since Monday. There have been some problems during my week, but nothing too awful.

Tonight (and every Sunday night) there was a problem with the mainframe after they restarted the region. It sent me over 50 pages in about 30 minutes to tell me that the mainframe was back up. I finally called the Operations staff and told them to call me when things were quiet and I'd turn the pager back on.

Peri thought he was being bad and I was making noise to scare him. He went and sat in his crate and looked very sad until I finally turned the pager off.
