Grrr follow up
My new doctor's appointment is on 8/5. Because the doctor doesn't get in early enough for me to go in the morning, I have to have one of their last appointments. 
And I got a reminder in the mail today to call for my yearly appointment with them. Hoorah.
Plus a reminder to get another mammogram this year (that makes 4 before my 40th birthday).

WHAT!? You didn't even get a reminder call for the annual exam they wouldn't fill your prescriptions without?! That's ridiculous! Jeez. I'm glad you got your appt. made, but you'd think they'd at least forfeit their waiting period if the reason you didn't make the appt. was because THEY dropped the ball!
Well, I had to have the pharmacy call and renew my birth control for a month, but they'll have to do it again since my appointment is now after this pack of pills.
The waiting period is just because the office is ~45 mins from work (about 20 from home) so it's a huge hassle to leave work for up to 3 hours for a regular check up.
Ah yes, the lovely mammogram. My half-sister had breast cancer in her early 40s, so my ob/gyn recommended I start mine earlier than 40. Like 30. So when I saw him when I was 29 he ordered one up for me.
Huh? But you said 30?!?
"Eh, you're close enough."
So when I go in December for mine (the day after Christmas -- don't know how that got started), it will be my 10th annual mammogram.
And yeah, I would've never guessed you were close to 40. I thought you looked around 32. No, really.

(for the age comment) Most of the time I don't realize that I'll be 40 in August. I wouldn't have ever guessed your age either!
