Last weekend in this house

| daily misc | | Comments (1)

This is the last weekend we'll be in this house. We've gotten most everything packed up (good thing, eh?) but tomorrow will be a busy day. Of course, I have a nail appointment in the morning and my "it's been 8 weeks" cut and color appointment right after that but still, everything will get done.

The movers show up at 9 am on Sunday.

My co-worker came over and took away the washer and dryer. Another one is coming over tomorrow for the deck furniture, lawn mower, snow blower, weed whacker and fridge.

Right now I'm copying off stuff from the network that I want copies of.

I have my new phone number, but it won't be hooked up until 8/25-ish. I should be getting cable tv & Internet on 8/24 (in theory) so I'll have some offline time (which is fine since I'll need to unpack anyway). Our house closes on 8/25 and we got the word that the buyers' buyers are confirmed with their new mortgage related stuff.

I'm not really sure what I'm doing on my bday beyond the work bbq. Right now my vote would go for curl up on the couch with a good movie, but that might change next week.

If you are impatient for my new info, leave me an email/comment. I'll be sending out change of address cards/email in the near future.

Guess I'd better find something dinnerish. Brad went out to dinner with friends while I waited for the washer and dryer to get re-homed.

PS: Thank you all for the wonderfully supportive comments, etc. Sorry that I haven't been able to reply to each of you. Work's been absolute hell this week. I might have to check how much vacation time I have left this year and take a day off next week.
