Belated birthday outing
Yesterday, Gina, Claudia, Gina's sister and her sister-in-law went to see Dracula at the Colorado Ballet. We had a really good time once we finally got there, but the getting there... now that's a story.
1) I never got the tickets so I finally got ahold of someone at the box office and they reprinted them and left them at Will Call.
2) Gina's s-i-l had to work, then didn't have to work, then had to work but got out early enough to join us.
3) The place we wanted to go for lunch had a long line so we tried to find a new spot to go but we didn't backtrack far enough. We eventually found a place that looked good and had lunch there.
4) We went to the address on the Ballet website which turned out to be the offices. No mention on the site (where it was obvious) that the performance was somewhere else.
5) Some guy had tickets for 2 seats in our group of 5. I told the girls that we were NOT moving and that was that. At least it wasn't too full and he could sit in the same aisle but down a few seats.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some other minor drama points, but in the end, we did get there and we did see the ballet. Everything was beautiful. The costumes, the dancing. Just wonderful.
We talked to a few other friends who said they'd like to be invited next time we do such an undertaking.
Happy belated birthday to me. ![]()
