Clarification on the divorce stuff
Ok, I guess it sounded like the divorce is rocky. It's actually not. Brad and I are good friends and have really done a great job of staying friends during this. We're both just irritated that the judge hasn't managed to sign the paperwork. See, we timed things so the divorce would be final at the end of 2004. Now it's February '05 and the papers haven't been signed yet.
We're not annoyed with each other in the least bit, but with the Douglas County Court system.
We'd probably go out to dinner this weekend if he didn't already have plans. ![]()
Thank you for your thoughts. They are always appreciated.

My mistake. I guess that's what happens when you ass-ume things.
The nearly-ex and I get together for lunch from time to time. We have no business being married, and our theological beliefs are divergent as are some of our moral views, but we're at least moderately good friends still.
And now for the ironic bit: With the mandatory parenting class scheduled for the 19th, that means we'll be going in and filing the final divorce paperwork on Tuesday the 22nd (on account of the holiday Monday).
That would, folks, be our 13th wedding anniversary. Sad but true.
Lissette - It's not a big deal, really. We haven't made much of a fuss about it on either of our weblogs so it's easy that you might have missed it.
Grey - Oof! That sucks.
Freedom is hunting, feeding, danger;
that, that is freedom—that it is which makes
the veins to swell, the breast to heave and glow
Aye, that is freedom,—that is pleasure—life!
