Concert recap
The concert was very good. It was Tori and 4 pianos/keyboards. She had the usual pair that she plays singly and together plus two additional ones that she played one at a time. She had some funny conversations with the audience. The venue was wonderful! It was small and had fantastic acoustics. It got a bit warm, but still, it was very nice.
Update: A link to reviews and the song list.
And the opening act was good even though he was a little loopy on cough meds: Matt Nathanson.
Claudia and I went out to dinner at Le Central (a funky French restaurant downtown). I had the Grilled Brie, Stilton and Swiss cheese on slices of crusty bread accompanied by a salad appetizer followed by Homard Grillé au Pastis (half lobster brushed with pernod and Provence herbs then broiled). Dessert was Pain Perdu (bread pudding). Claudia was more indulgent than I was and got... mussels (I forget which variety; I'd tried them last time she got them and didn't like the texture of them either), Escargot en Brioche (which I tried but didn't like the texture of), Salade Périgourdine, Gigot d’Agneau à la Tapendae (lamb) and La Tarte Des Quatres Saison. She had a ton of food leftover and will have a yummy lunch today. ![]()

So I was just reading another blog (Glimpse of a Girl) and she has her review of the Tori concert and I realized I never said anything about it when I went last week! I think it was Thursday the 14th of April. It was great!! The seats were really... Read More

The cheese and the bread pudding sound INCREDIBLE. Yum.
Good heavens. Now that's a meal!
Just came across you somehow and had to mention that I saw Tori Amos in concert a few years ago in a theater in Newark (NJ). The place was built for orchestras and broadway plays, so for acoustics' sake, the seating went STRAIGHT UP. We were seated in the very last row and could barley see a thing ("hey, I see some red down there, that must be Tori's hair!"). But it was a great show and I idolize her.
