An adventure with Claudia

| daily misc | | Comments (0)

I got home from work and made some pasta salad for lunches. While I was finishing that up, Claudia called and asked if I wanted to run out to the airport with her to drop off a coupon and grab dinner. I figured why not - it was a gorgeous evening and she's good company.

Well, we decided to take back roads to the airport (to save on toll money) and spent quite a bit of time driving around large fields going in the (insert hand waving gesture) right direction. I mean, we both knew where 470/70 was and where the airport was, but we couldn't manage to get there from where we were. After about an hour of this silly driving around stuff, we hit signs for the airport and successfully navigated to the parking lot.

By that time, we were both hungry so we went off to find this French restaurant Claudia'd heard about. It was, of course, closed. So we wandered over to a Mexican place and had dinner. After that, we stood in line at United to turn in her $50 coupon (that has a special $10 handling fee that the helpful woman at United rebated for Claudia). Then we went to check out a store - closed - and went to TCBY for ice cream.

We entertained many people in our 3 hour cheap date at the airport and got a lot of exercise wandering around. She's a lot of fun, that Claudia.

(She asked if I was going to post this, so I had to.)
