Cast in Bronze
I picked up a CD by Cast in Bronze at the CO Ren Fest.
"Cast in Bronze is the only musical act in history utilizing the carillon that sustains itself solely by live performances and recording sales."
"The carillon was created in Flanders about five centuries ago to provide a musical voice to bell towers to raise the spirits of the residents. The bells are hung in a stationary manner and the clappers are connected to a mechanical keyboard played with fists and feet. Expert playing requires musical dexterity, strength and endurance, an art form that is rarely seen and slowly but surely disappearing from the planet."
It's an amazing sounding instrument. I'm glad I picked up a CD (Best Day Ever).

Heh. They (CiB) were playing Epcot at Disneyworld a few years ago. Yeah, very very cool stuff.
How many albums're they up to?
I saw 3 CDs there but their website says a 5th is coming out in August.
The Cast in Bronze was an incredible looking machine. They player was really energetic. Some of it was pretty nice. But there were a few times the tones rubbed me the wrong way during the live performance. Maybe some of the bells were out of tune - or maybe I was!
