A book and an annoyance
I just finished reading Katherine Neville's A Calculated Risk. It was an entertaining read except for one thing... she referred to the technical geeks as "teckies" (instead of "techies"). It was almost enough to make me put down the book but I'm glad I stuck with it. Still!

Lol! I'm glad you stuck with it anyhow.
I'm taking forever to get through Neal Stephenson's Quicksilver. I think I've read 3 other books so far while still trying to get through it. His books always seem to take some effort to get through - but I'm always glad I did. But he is getting real close to not being worth all the effort.
Ugh. It can be so aggrevating when something like that happens. Totally distracting.
Katherine Neville is from a different era of techies from what I can gather - her computer knowledge peaked in the 70s or 80s. Maybe that's what they called techies back then.
