Life, allergies, whatnot
Busy these days. But tired too. My allergies have been really bad lately - to the point where I wake up in the middle of the night (a bunch of times) to blow my nose and breath). Tomorrow I my shots and I hope that helps.
Life. This is the rough moving schedule:
9/6 - my last day of work (I turn in the pager too because I'm on call the week before)
9/7 - pick up rental truck, load it, get apt cleaned
9/8 - get carpets cleaned, get in truck and drivedrivedrive
9/? - unload stuff, sleep
Also, I'm interviewing for a job. A very neat job. (If you're in on the secret, please don't say anything specific here.)
No calls on my desk yet.
If I move it, I suspect I'll have to leave other things. I don't want to do that.
I've been doing some work for Arisia. I'm looking forward to not having to fly to go to it in January.
I've been doing a ton of HTML/CSS at work lately. We have the second phase of a project scheduled to go live on 9/15 and my main developer is out on medical leave. So (happily and because I can) I'm stepping up to make sure it can go. It'll implement after I leave which is a little stressful for me (and the customer and my co-workers), but it should go fine. I've noticed that when I'm puzzling out something at work, I tend to lean on my left elbow and that bothers my wrist. So I need to stop doing that.
I've been meaning to install the MT beta but I need to do it when I'm less tired. So this weekend. (I even went as far as to back up my blog and the entire database but that was last weekend so I'll have to do it again.)
This weekend: nails & toes. Girly stuff.
Also, I should go through my apartment and see what else can be boxed up and put in the guest room. And organize the stuff that's already in there into 3 piles (my apartment plus 2 different friends' places).
Computer suck: My external hard drive is ignoring me. So I'm without all of my music. Thank goodness the iPod was loaded (I leave it locked up at work during the week). At least there is Radio Paradise when my connection isn't sucking.
Computer (?) suck: My connection seems to be spotty lately. Like the last week or so. I don't remember how that compares to the reinstall timing.
Happy: Kat on my desk, purring and looking generally cute.
They are looking to replace me at work. The job description posted is flattering and scary. ![]()
That's quite enough for now!

I recommend this for allergies: 1/4 teaspoon of salt in 8 oz. of water. Warm in the microwave for 20 seconds (body temp). Pour a little into your cupped hand, and snort it up your nose. repeat until it's all gone. It's gross, yeah, but it will wash out all the allergens and your sinuses will feel better immediately! Better than drugs, and no side effects!

Busy, busy, but exciting, isn't it? Four of the six of us get allergy shots - a real pain, but they seem to be working. May I know the secret job? Pretty please?
