When life really seems unfair

| work related stuff | | Comments (0)

One of my co-workers (who is only 27) fought thyroid cancer a year or so ago. They ended up removing almost all (if not all) of his thyroid and a bunch of lymph nodes (he did radiation treatment and all of that other "fun" stuff). It seemed to be gone and he'd been on thyroid meds since. Anyway, he had a 'tumor indicator' test recently and the results were "significantly high" (per the doctor). So it's back to the hospital for more radiation.

So, if you could, please keep him in your thoughts. He's a great guy.

PS: I gave him the link to the spoon theory and he really appreciated it. If you have anything else that would be helpful or cheery to share with him, please let me know and I'll pass it on.
