Flooding

So all that rain? Right. It was too much for the sump pump at Jonah's house and the basement flooded. A lot. At least 4" and more in some places.

The sump pump is running again (it got knocked around by the rising water and wasn't pumping) but the water that came in? Yeah, from the dog run area. And the dog crap septic tank. Ew. So much ew.

Sean and I are waiting for the sludge level to go down so we can see how much stuff is damaged and figure out what to do about it all. (Jonah is in training today and had to leave.)

Update from Sean: Revised theory--it doesn't seem to be coming directly from the yard or dog run after all. Not quite as nasty, though I suspect many books have died, possibly some computers and power tools too.
