Kittystuff

It's with a bit of sadness that I post that Katya is going to a new home soon. She's going to live with a friend nearby for a while and then move to her permanent home in NYC when the timing is right. (Person 2 is dating Person 1 so she'll get to bond with both of them in the in-between period.) She'll be with friends so I'll be able to visit and get kitty updates.

It'll be weird to be a cat person without a cat again.

This will be better for her long term though. She and my roomie's cat don't really get along and so she's stuck in my room all day with me and can't roam around. And my next home (which isn't for a bunch of months yet!) has dogs. Lots and lots of dogs.

Please think good thoughts for us because I know that I'll miss her and I'm pretty sure she'll miss me. (The vet gave her a clean bill of health today but said we should watch her weight because she's a teeny bit heavy but nothing to worry about as long as it doesn't change and I suspect once she has a whole apartment to run around again her weight will drop back.)
