Computer troubles?

So my lovely computer started making unhappy noises today. I finished up my work day and shut everything down to run a backup. It's busily backing up my C drive and then I do the D drive and breathe easier. But really it should just be happy. It isn't all that old. It seems like it might be the hard drive but now that the backup is running, it's all nice and quiet.

Anyway, I'm catching up on blogs and LJ from the laptop while my computer does its thing. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. Reinstalling is a bitch!
