Welcome, 2006!

Tonight I had dinner at my brother & company's house. We had incredible sirloin (melted in your mouth), artichokes (my niece loves them!), salad, pasta with tasty seasoning, bread and homemade Carrabba's Italian dip. The food, as always, was amazing. The company was also lovely.

My niece is just the cutest child ever. She'd wandered into the back bedroom earlier today and saw the Santa suit that was laid out on the bed. She asked where Gaghant Baba was. So E explained to her that Mommy was doing Santa's laundry since he'd gotten a little messy on Christmas. She bought it and wandered out of the room. Nice save, E!

This is a good time to reflect on all that happened in 2005...

Brad and I got divorced (though it took the courts a while to share the news), I sent him a kitty, I quit my job and moved 2,000 miles away from people who took me in for the holidays and were my family for a lot of the time I was in Colorado to live nearer to my family, got a new job (well, it was arranged before I moved), and a few other things I'm forgetting. My kitty is still living with me until the other person gets his lease updated. We (the cat and I) are ok with that though. smile

It's just wonderful to be reconnected with my brother and sis-in-law and to be able to see them (and my niece) almost every weekend. That makes life very special.

I will make it to Denver again (hopefully in March) and also out to Seattle (to visit Brad and Grishka and other friends) but it's been nice not flying so much lately.

Blimey, a lot happened to you that I missed out on!! Wow. Nice to see you're alive and well, and I like this template - shows how long it's been, eh.

Wasn't a quiet year for me either, ended up moving to Roswell, New Mexico - I may be the only legal alien here currently. :x

Take care of yourself.

Mercy! What a year you had. But it sounds like you are handling it all well. Divorce is never an easy thing.

Happy New Year!
