Dad update

| family stuff | | Comments (5)

From my stepmom:

I just got back from the hospital. They put a stent in one artery which was blocked about 95%. He has to go back in two weeks or so to have a stent put into a second artery which is blocked about 90%. They could not do both today as they would have had to use too much dye which causes other problems.

He seems to be doing fine, especially after one percoset and one xanex. smile

Scary, scary stuff. At least he was aware enough to get his butt to the doctor's office and get checked out when he started having symptoms.

Thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers.

Oh my gosh. I am so glad that things are looking up for your dad what a scary thing and it must be extra hard long distance. My thoughts and prayers are with you and him.

The one saving grace of all of this is that I'm only a few hundred miles away now instead of 2000.

I'll keep him in my prayers for the second procedure!

My gosh. This is what I miss from coming here . . . I'm glad to read that things went well and will keep him in my prayers for round two.
