Red Hat day
Today is a Work from Red Hat day (as in doing my regular work from the lovely, air-conditioned offices of Red Hat).
I needed some coffee (sleepy after staying up too late last night) so I wandered into the kitchen. Only to discover that they do not have pots of coffee sitting there waiting for people to get a cup. Instead, they have these neat one cup coffee makers. You put the coffee packet in the filter, squeeze something (that lets the machine know you mean business - I missed this step when I watched someone make coffee earlier), then push the button. Voila! One cup of coffee. (* Having one cup pots makes a lot more sense - the coffee is fresh every time, so less wasted coffee and the burners don't always have to be on keeping the pot warm, so +10 pts to Red Hat for that!)
Thank goodness some kind soul also needed coffee and saw me looking puzzled (I said "give me coffee" to the machine) and helped out. And I have had a decent cup of coffee. ![]()
Oops, someone thought they'd reserved the conference room I'm in at 11 but foo on them! It was reserved for me all day. Mine mine mine!

The only drawback to one-cup coffee makers is the cost per cup. I believe it works out to about $32/lb. of coffee for the one cuppers.
Damn! Ok, that's a big on the scary side.
you know what, that's a GREAT idea!!! I'm going to mention it at work tomorrow!
