NSPy update
I just got back from picking him up at the vet's office where he had an ultrasound/echocardiogram and a doppler blood pressure test. It turns out that he has a heart worm. One. Kind of odd.
Unfortunately, the blood work we'd done last vet visit didn't show the heart worm. He's got meds and we go back in 2-4 weeks for another Xray.
At least it's something treatable and with a finite lifespan (assuming the treatment works) vs lifelong heart disease.

So glad NSPy only had ONE the photo on Wiki was nasty. Ewwwie! Pamper NSPy to death. I hear with good treatment they go away quite well.
Glad to hear the condition is treatable. That cat is soooo cute.

Yeah, that photo grossed me out ocmpletely.
He's a total sweetheart. He was so happy to be home yesterday that he spent a long time rubbing against legs, furniture, random objects left within reach, etc etc. And rolling around purring happily.
We're grateful that this is something very treatable!
I'm glad to hear it's a treatable condition and that it's just one worm- there's preventive medicine you can get to give him on a monthly basis. I'm wishing him a speedy recovery.
Just one? How weird is that! Glad to hear it's treatable, tho!
He's already starting to feel better. Or, he's sounding better to us.
