A weekend with movies

| books, movies, music, etc | | Comments (2)

This turned out to be a busy, and movieful weekend. On Saturday, we watched the MST3k version of Eegah. That movie was... special. Afterwards, we chased that down with Thank You for Smoking. I hadn't heard of it before, but my movie watching companions had both seen it before and thought we should all watch it. I'm glad we did. It was a very well done movie.

Last night, a group of us went to Boston Commons and saw Pan's Labyrinth. That was also a good movie. Watching a subtitled movie is a little distracting for me (it's harder to remember to _watch_ the movie in addition to the words), but it was worthwhile. My roommate (who has ever been fluent in Spanish in her life) was muttering in Spanish throughout the movie. Once or twice I asked what she was saying, but mostly I was amused.

Thanks go to my sweetheart for picking all of the movies. Yes, I'll even thank him for Eegah because it meant we were snuggled up on the couch together. Next time I might have to bring the MST3k movie I have to share with him. There might need to be drinking to watch it though.

Agreed. It was definitely good to hang out and watch movies. I should remember that and do it more often.
