NSPy, diabetes, new math
Suzanne realized that we'd been treating NSPy for diabetes for nearly a month last night and that we had a lot of insulin left still. So we got the bottle out of the fridge and looked at it more closely. What the bottle says is "100 units/ml" and also "10 ml" which, in my stress over the cost of the bottle, I missed the "10 ml" part. So instead of a bottle lasting 12.5 days, it lasts 125 days!
What a relief! That's so much less money than I was originally envisioning.
Meantime, he's doing great. He's been drinking a little more the last day or so, but he's an angel about getting his shots. If I feed him and go into the other room, he comes to get me when he's finished his food. And when I sit on the floor (to give him his shot), he walks up and stands in front of me so I can give him his shot. So cute.

Well THAT is good news - that stuff can be so expensive. I hope NSPy is feeling a bit peppier and less diabetic soon!
Victoria's cat had diabetes and she'd have to give him shots of insulin too. When she traveled, I'd have to stay at her place to give Lucky his daily shot. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. And Lucky had a good life- he passed on- but of natural causes. So NSPy, with the daily shots, should have a long healthy life ahead of him as well!
