The rest of my trip...
I ended up getting a free appetizer (hot & sour soup) from PF Chang's because they felt I'd waited extra time for a table. They really took good care of me there. Plus I love hot & sour soup, so how could I say no to that when it was a cold, blustery day?
Saturday, Brad arrived around 10:45 to pick me up from the hotel. While I waited for him, I got to see a wedding party heading out for their cars. Everyone looked lovely, if a bit chilly. We dumped my stuff in his car and then headed to Pike Place Market for brunch. Except we were too late for breakfasty food, so we got lunch at Lowell's Restaurant and Bar instead. The food was tasty, the views lovely and we had a huge seagull outside the window, looking like he thought we should share our lunch with him.
After lunch, we walked around Pike Place Market and then over to the Seattle Aquarium. The sea otters, harbor seals and fur seals were the most fun to watch.
Next up, we wandered around Pike Place Market a bit more and then headed back to the Westlake Center and caught the Monorail over to the Space Needle. I was worried about going up to the top of the Needle but decided I would give it a shot (I'd tried to go to the top of the Sears Tower in Chicago and couldn't get past the floor where you bought tickets because it was feeling too sway-y). It was great up there. I took a bunch of photos, but my camera battery died so I have to recharge it and upload 'em.
After that, we headed over to the Seattle Underground Tour. We got there about an hour early for the 4 pm tour, so we talked for a bit. The tour was great fun, so thank you everyone who recommended it!
Then it was back to Brad's so I could repack my suitcase (to fit in the presents I'd picked up and also my new copy of Windows Vista and Office). We had sushi for dinner at a really good place near Brad's. We watched the season finale of Monk (since neither of us had seen it) and then headed to the airport.
I stayed awake until I got on the plane and then I crashed hard. I woke up long enough to lay down in the row of seats I had (I had a whole row to myself). Then I woke up long enough to reposition and put my seatbelt on because it was a little bumpy. Then I woke up when we were starting the descent. A quick taxi ride home and I was home to NSPy (who did the happy dance of "human, feed me!") and Suzanne (who was sleeping at 7amish when I got home).

I have always wanted to visit Washington - I think it would be gorgeous, although I hear they get tons of rain...Minnesota is bad enough that some spring/summer/fall I feel like some form of fungus.
