Macs and Google Calendar, assistance requested

| techie stuff | | Comments (3)

My roommate has a pretty Macbook Pro and was wondering if there is some simple way to sync with Google Calendar. She doesn't have a .mac account and would prefer not to get one.

I'm sure there's something out there, but honestly, I don't always know what I'm reading when it comes to Mac stuff. tongue

Thanks for your help!

I'm one of the developers of a product called Spanning Sync that aims to do exactly that--sync Apple iCal and Google Calendar. You can try it for free at spanningsync.com.

If you have any questions just drop us a note at support@spanningsync.com.

Thanks,
Charlie

hi,
I cannot help from personal experience, since I don't use either product, but if I search for mac software I generally use versiontracker or macupdate.
That said gCalDaemon looks almost like what you describe you need...

Hi

You don't need any software to do this.

Just get the calender url from google calender then go into iCal and subscribe to it. You have to manually resync whenever you want but its pretty simple. I have been using this since google calendars came out. I sync up my calendars so that I can have my schedule on my iPod.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'm off to go sync my calendars. Thanks for the reminder. smile
